The Adirondack
Research Library

The Adirondack Research Library maintains the largest collection of Adirondack informational materials outside of the Park boundaries. It has maps, periodicals, technical reports, photos, slides, video and audio tapes, and archival materials from prominent Adirondack conservationists of the 19th and 20th centuries. Library Hours

Monday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Thursday 12 noon - 4:00 pm

Other hours are available by appointment made in advance. Library volunteers will try to accomodate visitors' schedules as much as possible.


Researchers and other visitors should call or email at least one week in advance to make appointments outside of scheduled hours. Please note that if one calls in advance and gives notice of one's topic of research, volunteers will have materials ready for perusal upon arrival.
