Ed Zahniser, son of federal Wilderness Act author Howard Zahniser and a part-time resident of Johnsburg in the Adirondacks, will speak about America's and Adirondack concerns for wilderness and about Wilderness as part of our community of life on Sunday August 20, 2006 beginning at 4:00 pm at the Tannery Pond Community Center in North Creek, NY. Zahniser's presentation is part of the Association's annual series of lectures and seminars titled the Arthur M. Crocker series in honor of the Association's long-time President and Adirondack activist, the late Arthur M. Crocker.
Zahniser will also be available to sign his new book of poetry and his book Where Wilderness Preservation Began: The Adirondack Writings of Howard Zahniser (1992 by North Country Books)
