The Governor and state Legislators wrapped up the 2013-14 state budget this week. Environmental spending was increased after years of a steady downward slide. Allocations for land acquisition for the state lands and state parks went up to $20 million and state land stewardship went up $16.6 million.

Invasive species remains low at $4.6 million.
